wndysrf
I said 2 nights ago that I expected HUI to close the week at 240. I was wrong. needed to be said. I was expecting a fast correction, followed by new highs on the HUI as well. However, something else may be unfolding, not good for the gold bulls. It has been distressing to see gold and silver make new highs, yet the XAU grinds lower, with selling volume starting to accelerate. I'm becoming increasingly worried about a head and shoulders top in gold, and a J-Lo Saucer Bottom on Uncle Buck. I will probably close some trades on Monday and short NEM and FCX to hedge off my core positions, since they both fell hard on big volume today. Thought that might need to be said, in case I'm wrong. Over the intermediate term, the gold stocks might get smoked like APA, APC, PPP did in the NatGas sector. As you can see, these were sold hard, but quickly reversed to race up to even higher highs. So just depends whether or not you can sell now, and have the guts to buy at lower prices later. Head and Shoulders Top:

wndysrf
Massive breakout on record high volume. Huge move. This company supplies the mining sector with equipment. Must be non-precious type, since PD, AA, exploded to new highs today on huge volume. Industrial metals sector is definitely in a new bull market. wndysrf
Drillers had a great week. However, another possible head and shoulders top on the weekly. Needs to break $65.
wndysrf
This one (MVK) supplies the oil service industry with tubes, etc. It got smoked today on huge volume, a bad omen for the OSX. However, OMNI reached to new highs on good volume. Kind of a mixed bag in the oil patch. Once again, next week will tell the tale.

wndysrf
Oh, by the way, what happened to MERCILESS?? Hmm..... Glad I didn't short anything in the spoos when he appeared. Probably would have done OK by shorting gold stocks though, as I remember him pumping his Krugerrands last time he showed up.... Food for thought.....
