Just think...

If you were (or are) dumb enough to watch the evening news (MSM)

And assuming that were true, dumber still to believe anything that they report as news as opposed to "information management" to move the Sheeple (you, the viewer) this way or that

Then look at the fuss over gas prices

I don't watch the news (anymore), but through all the boards/blogs I read I hear it's quite the story

Then look at a price map like the one on GasBuddy, and realize the twisted tales they weave

And as mentioned in prior posts -- it's Cali and the monied East that's goin' to get pounded

Because that's where the money and people are.

And, one could quite easily argue, the bigger douchebags.

If we want to lower fuel prices over the long term:

Start drilling our own oil on our own soil.

As far as Iran, I suggest bombing their nuclear facilities into the stone age as soon as possible and get it out of the way. Anyone who believes that their nuclear program is just for peaceful purposes needs to see a professional.

They have openly stated that their intent is to wipe Israel off the map and this is the main reason for their nuclear program.

Lastly, keep drilling....

Another gap and go Monday?

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The world's leading economies worked on Sunday to line up a deal in April on a second global rescue package worth nearly $2 trillion to stop the euro-zone sovereign debt crisis from spreading and putting at risk the tentative recovery.

Germany said it would make a decision sometime in March on strengthening Europe's bailout fund, a move other Group of 20 countries say is essential to clear the way for throwing extra funds into the International Monetary Fund.

Edit: so far buyers haven't been sucked in tonight

American oil production peaked 42 years ago.

No amount of drilling will turn this trend up. After all 42 years of trying, off and on, hasn't done it and that's pretty reliable trend. Now it makes people feel good to think there is some magic to change this, especially politicians who know what people want to hear. So while "drill baby drill" is super lizard brain stuff that elects politicians that's all it does. It's Pavlovian lizard brain stuff.

Then too the price of oil is global since within a range oil is fungible. World supply and demand is in precarious balance with global supply flat, at best, and demand trying to rise. Any slight counter trend rally in US oil supply would be just a blip in the global price/supply equation. Proven US oil reserves are 1.8% of the worlds.

As for Iran if by chance they actually produced a reliable deliverable weapon and a reliable delivery system there is nothing they could do with it. On launch you could say goodbye to Tehran, all other major cities and 5000 years of Persian history. With the US vs USSR it was mutual assured destruction. With Iran it would simply be their own destruction. For what exactly?

So, if Iran develops a nuclear weapon, you don't think they won't try to deliver it? How far is Israel from Iran? They've already stated their intentions, to wipe Isreal off the face of the earth! Give em enough time and they will attempt to do it. How hard is that to understand.

As far as your chart, how much of that is the result of restrictions on drilling? The United States has plenty of oil. The problem is the government won't grant us access to our own oil. That is the lizard brain.....

If that was a price chart I'd buy it with the expectation of higher prices. It's a thing of beauty! An obligatory Fakey Breaky on the double bottom to lube up the Peak Earl Sphincter Folk and then extremely quickly leaps over tall buildings and that whole double bottom zone in one price point.

Very bullish on rising production!

You seem very sure of yourself. You have an inside line on future facts?

Most folks seem to act very sure of themselves on stock message boards. Seems to be the custom in these regions, though not everyone does it.

My own understanding of what Jorma said is that if Iran actually launches a bomb, this would provoke a quick response from the country that Iran has already declared to be their chief enemy. That country already has plenty enough weaponry and knowledge and experience, to wipe Iran out easily and efficiently. And they would do so, rather than risk further danger to their own country. This is a popular and logical viewpoint and may be correct.

And that assures that Iran won't do anything with its nuclear capability? Put yourself in the crosshairs of the mullahs and see if you still feel the same way.

Anyway, this discussion doesn't belong here.
