DJ Fed Sets Overnight System RPs

 

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--The Federal Reserve is arranging overnight system repurchase agreements Tuesday, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York confirmed.

 

Federal funds were trading at the Fed's target at 1% when the central bank entered the market.

 

The Fed's execution of the RPs was expected.

At Noon Eastern-The Snow man has to tell Congress what I posted the other night-that being the 70 Trillion $ shortfall in Social Security and Medicare in the next 20 yrs-the market may not like what they hear-keep a eye on what the Snowman says. ;)

What effect (if any) is this going to have on precious metals prices?
