MrHanky Posted February 27, 2003 Report Share Posted February 27, 2003 Just found out my property taxes are going up another 17%.last year they went up 28%,and 20% in 2001. I'm gonna puke. Called my parents for some sympathy,they told me their house just got re-assessed from 230k to 480k,their taxes just doubled instantly and my father retired 4 weeks ago. Not wishing to be nosey, Mr. H, but where are you parents that the property assessment doubled? monmouth county,central nj....1 mile from the beach monmouth county is in the top 5 for home value increases in the nation.their house value went up more than 25% last year alone. I sold my home there last year that was further inland for a nice profit. they paid 190k 6 years ago....worth 450-500k now and it's nothing special really.my house I bought in south jersey is the same size but brand new,I paid $255k a few months ago Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stickin with my plan, may cover my puts and shorts temporarily heading into the ECB meeting. Good news for me and all bears, takin next week off to head to MIAMI, last two vacations I ve taken have seen close to 100 point SPX drops...TRADE SAFE! SB I know this is simple but almost EVERYTHING goes down in a bear market. The only other thought would be also simple but stoolpid. We ain't goin to war.
