I sure hope the good Doctor keeps these threads in archives as I'm wanting to read them more as I get time. Anyway, just wanted to sincerely say thank you for all your hard work and abilities. You said elsewhere you felt like you were preaching to the choir or to those who would never learn. While that may be true, there are a lot of people out there who find solace in finding you and not feeling crazy themselves for believing the same things. The choir needs to be fed as well and the bigger and more educated the choir, the better the chance for a decent outcome when the storm abates. Thanks for taking the heat. I too have kind of hit the end of the road in having time to post and peruse. I can do it occasionally but the real world pressures are turned up lately and I have to meet them. While I maintain some ideological differences, you have given me lots to think about, and on some points even changed my mind a little, politically speaking. This is the very best any writer can hope for in an audience. You may get the impression you're not having this effect, because those whose minds your changing, may not be vocal about it. They're more likely to voice their remaining counter opinions. As far as the economy goes, you know it inside out and sideways, and I have been recommending the Stoolie site to anyone who will listen, with special emphasis on your column. For the big picture, you beat any columnist I've read anywhere, on the net, or in the most esteemed print journals. In other words, as they say in Hollywood, "We luv ya, Baby, don't ever change!" P.S. I sold my house last night. If it weren't for you, I may have dragged my feet putting it on the market, and may well have been screwed. Tanks again! I stated that I used his anals pretty much just for the real estate insights and info on the feed. I then stated that the real reason I paid up was for Doc providing the forum containing the insights of folks like Yoyo, MH, Thorass, Easy AL, SEG, etc.... Within days both the crazy SEAsian goldbug and the crazy redneck camper salesman stated that they were closing up shop. What the hell did I do? The gold nutter seems to have reconsidered and I hope you will to yoyo. I pass your pieces around to an e-mail list of friends. We all get a lot from them even if we aren't very vocal about it. No matter what ya decide thanks for sharing the brain cycles. Anyone that feels differently than I on this subject is an intolerant racist impinging on my freedom, liberty, and numerous other rights I have that all center around me not having to tolerate any ideas that differ from mine.
