psyche doctor
From August 2008 until Feb 2009 the SPY went from approximately 1241 to 723, with the ultimate low at 666 in early March. So exactly how did EO 12631 work during that period of relentless selling then? Which was also a time when there were no bears groaning about market manipulation to the downside. There was a reason(s) why the market crashed and the fed was unable to support the market through the PD's, but that is beyond my ability at this point to articulate in a clear manner. Doc might explain, if he so desires.
psyche doctor
What he said. Shoulda mentioned that meself. Wasn't The Them a 50s horror flick about giant ants? Or was it just Them? Them (1954) was a movie about mutated, giant, man-eating ants. It was based on a true story, too!
Jimbo
WILL QUALITATIVE EASING REPLACE QUANTITATIVE EASING IN 2010??????????/ Quantitative Easing in 2009 was very good for gold Will a lack of QE be bad for gold now? Will rising rates be bad for gold now? Or will "qualitative easing" (my new term for probability of sovereign bond default - ie debt rating downgrades) Be the new "driver" to drive gold higher in 2010?????
