Dark Star

Lyrics: Robert Hunter

Music: Garcia, Hart, Kreutzman, Lesh, McKernan, Weir

Published By; Ice Nine Publishing Company, Inc.(ASCAP)

Dark star crashes

Pouring its light into ashes

Reason tatters

The forces tear loose from the axis

Searchlight casting

For faults in the clouds of delusion

Shall we go, you and I, while we can?

Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds

Mirror shatters

In formless reflections of matter

Glass hand dissolving

To ice petal flowers revolving

Lady in velvet

Recedes in the nights of goodbye

Shall we go, you and I, while we can

Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

MPV.TO is mere kilometers from below more advanced project known as Diavick by Aber Resources. $1.3 Billion dollar mine set to produce the finest gem quality diamonds in the world.

There is essentially NO difference in the quality of the different companies Kimberlite pipes, mere kilometers apart.

Goldmember, Are you suggesting this as a good stock pick? The chart looks really good.

What do you think of the potential for diamonds, in general? I watched a documentary about the deBeers cartel in S.Africa a few months before I got married, about a decade ago, and opted for an opal engagement ring, as a consequence. It seemed to me, that diamonds aren't nearly as scarce as people think they are. There's alot of talk about "dirty diamonds" financing war in small African nations right now. That seems like part of a deBeers backed pr. campaign, even though there's probably some truth to it.

I have had MPV for about six months in my untouchables portfolio. I just let it ride. My gambling account I had to offload to buy specialty tools and equipment for my day thing. Needed the tax write downs and needed the gear. Gambling account restocked as cash flow allowed. I fully expect this MPV property to become a full fledged mine but it might take years. deBeers is pretty slow to get the ball rolling but the stock is being pumped at gold and "things" crowd at investor conferences. Great! I wouldn't buy until it at least returned to trend line. I've more than doubled my initial small investment and will let it ride for years if I have to. If deBeers, as senior partner and money bags, announces a bankable feasibility study based on confidence of years of drilling results, the latest of which make me drool based on large top quality stones, this stock will immediately shoot to $5.00 almost overnight. All of this is a slow, drawn out process, but I don't mind waiting for a potential 10 or 20 bagger from my initial investment. Three ten-baggers and my weary bones can take a rest in luxury and security. I have full confidence this will be one of those, eventually. :D

Goldmember, You're very wise. But hey, gambling account? Compared to people who are investing in "traditional blue chip stock" at the moment, you are the very image of conservative, button down investor!

Any investing I do, I consider a crap shoot casino move too. No matter how safe it appears.

Life itself is a crap shoot though, isn't it?

Loved the lyrics, by the way. :D

My gambling account is for trading options. Stuff like gold and diamonds are in the "untouchables" where I don't change much. No large sums, I'm just a Joe average stiff with bills to pay like everybody else trying to stay a couple of steps ahead of the hangman. Since I found Stoolville, however, I think the combined talent here, our good Doctor of Stock Proctology especially, may accelerate the path to security. Which is a GOOD thing! The universe is unfolding as it should!

"Stuff like gold and diamonds "

Puuuuleeez !!!!

These two should never even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Diamonds is a scam market in which prices have been artifically held HIGH for decades all the while more new mines are discovered all the time --- an then promptly sealed off.

I had a south african roommate in college (a long time ago) and when he told me that there are sooo many diamonds just waiting to be plucked that it would instantly crash the price of 'em to nothing I was incredulous.

Gold however is EXTREMELY rare. If you don't beleive me then get some info on that gold mine in the south pacific where Da Boyz like Henry Kiss are major investors. They are crucnhing an entire mountain to little bits to get just a small pile o the yellow stuff.

If you like the appearance of diamonds then by all means buy your wife a diamond ring or whatever but don't fool yourself into thinking it's an investment. It's a TOTAL scam and sooner or later some commie pinko will take over in SA and dump diamonds on the market and crash the price.

Cartels don't last forever and DeBeer's won't either. One day normal supply and demand wil take over and the diamonds will be very cheap.

South African kimberlite pipes are essentially depleted and empty. Water filled holes in the ground. deBeers has no marketing rights for existing Canadian diamonds and are forced to mine their own Canadian diamonds lest Rio Tinto or Tiffany's gets all the cream. Brilliant marketing is the order of the day, still, and deBeers is getting creamed by not having their own branded diamonds. These diamonds are the finest huge gemstones in the world and the disgustingly rich can't get enough of them! The small baubles that Joe Average buys for wifey are of little interest to me. The source of HUGEMONGOUS gems does interest me.
