The consensus call was +10,000, with estimates in a -75,000 to +100,000 range. The unemployment rate rose 0.1% to 5.8%. The consensus call was 5.8%; the range of estimates is 5.7% to 6.1%. Manufacturing employment is down 53,000, following a decline of 4,000 in January (revised from -16K). The consensus call was for -30,000 estimate. Estimates are in a -50,000 to -10,000 range. The private workweek is down to 34.1 hours from 34.3 hours in January (revised from 34.2). The consensus was34.2, with the range of estimates being 34.0 to 34.2. Hourly earnings rose 0.7%, following the negative reading -0.1% in January (revised from 0.0%). The consensus call was +0.3% estimate, with all estimates in a 0.0% to +0.4% range. I will be covering some today.
