Chicago (CBS) - The State of Illinois' pile of unpaid bills has grown to a record-breaking $3 billion. Comptroller Dan Hynes said Tuesday it's never before been this bad at this point in any previous fiscal year. And Hynes said that things are likely to get worse. I would not pay my bills as well if I was the state of Illinois. Pity I am not.

Rationalize
Can anyone explain how to calculate the contribution of a stock, Google for instance, to the SPX change value. Is it simply multiplying the amount of the stock change by the percentage assigned to the specific stock, or is there another formula? For instance I compare the contribution for the DOW Industrials where the stock price change for the DOW component is multiplied by the common DOW multiplier. Thnx. * Remember that SPX is cap weighted, while DJIA is price weighted.
