I guess this is the Sanata Clause rally....I thought we had it ?

NEW YORK, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Stocks climbed in late

afternoon trading on Monday, putting all three major market

gauges on track to end at their highest levels of 2003, as

investors bet on an upbeat start to the new year.

"This is a seasonally strong time of the year," said Brian

Pears, head of equity trading at Victory Capital Management,

adding that portfolio managers are anxious to show that they

are fully participating in the strong upward trend stocks have

experienced this month.

Wall Street historically has a modest rally in the last

five trading days of the year and the first two in January. The

so-called "Santa Claus rally" has been good for an average 1.5

percent gain since 1950, according to the Stock Trader's

Almanac.

No. Today was a going out of business sale. Didn't you see the buying panic.

As Doc has said many times, "The casino is always open."

Chief is always ready to lend more funny money. Everything is up except the funny money that is the real news.
