I'm beginning to think there might be some issues somewhere out there ...

The biggest issue hanging out there is for the greenman to keep everyone buying dollars and bonds even as he buries the world in more and more dollars. The game is to keep all the inflation speculating in US financial markets and real estate. It is called bubble economics.

One obvious terror signature is the twin hits ... like the two U.S. embassies in Africa, the twin towers, etc.

Today's date 8/25 sums to Masonic number 33 (8+25=33), just as JFK's assassination date 11/22 did. JFK was hit in Dallas near the 33rd parallel, just as MLK in Memphis and RFK in Los Angeles were near the 33rd parallel.

Baghdad, Iraq lies almost on the 33rd parallel as well. So it wouldn't be surprising if the 'final assault' on Najaf or similar mischief starts today.

Matters coming to a head in Najaf:

It would be helpful to the government if any raid on the shrine coincided with the return to Iraq of Grand Ayatollah Ali Husseini al-Sistani, the country's most powerful Shia cleric. He was today on his way to Najaf after receiving treatment in London for a heart problem.

what if they launched an offensive and nobody came?

Mahdi army flees shrine as US steps up offensive

Mahdi army fighters loyal to the Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr had largely abandoned Najaf's Imam Ali shrine yesterday before American forces launched a massive offensive, which was under way last night.

Sources inside the resistance movement said the majority of the militiamen slipped out of the complex after a secret order by Mr Sadr five days ago.

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- A domestic liquid natural gas pipeline south of Baghdad was attacked early Thursday morning, according to an Agence France-Press report. The pipeline supplies gas to Basra and other southern towns. The attack comes as a violent standoff between Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and U.S. and Iraqi government forces continues in Najaf. Forces aligned with al-Sadr have said that Iraq's oil and gas infrastructure could be targeted.
