We'll see how the game is spun in the AM. Like TE, I smell a little sell-offf coming. The fact that absolutely NO ONE IN THIS FRICKIN' WORLD ('cept Stoolies) talks about earnings, value, etc. has turned me into a daytrader again. Short n'hold, buyn' hold, fuggedaboutit! It's just momo, man! 'taint no valleys or hills, just velocity. Find the velocity stocks, forget about the direction. I know a lot of you bears-turned-longs have made a bit of money on this rally; I feel OK just having preserved capital. It's when I get sucked into the daytrading mentality that, even when I win, I get furious with the direction our country/values have taken. Did anyone see that TV show where two chicks game a hubby vs. 5 million?Reality-turned-to-fantasy TV. Should have been shown on "Power Lunch". edit - SINA down AH on Island, ASIA too, both about 4%. That Chambers 'misquote'(I think he probably did say the first version; few grinnin' liars can match him) was corrected hours ago-don't watch the crack- whores during the day, but no surprise. After checking internet sneaker sites, I still drove down to the Athlete's Foot store to check their prices out. The warehouse sized store was empty, with clerks outnumbering the two shoppers, one of whom was me, the other may or may not have been a plainclothes store cop. I got the uncool New Balance pair I wanted for $10 less than the internet sites' prices. I know how difficult it can be to visit in-laws, so to ease the pain for my brother-in-law's visit, I went to get cigars and beers. The cigar store had unmarked "seconds" which were 33% off the comparable labeled stogies. I bought them instead of the branded cigars.
