All Ords appears to have broken through resistance but I guess we'll see if it can hold the gains this arvo. The index currently +0.2% with trading brisk. The bellwether stocks are putting on some decent gains: BHP +1.7%, Telstra +0.8% and News Corp +1.2%.

Some of the spec golds seeing some action but the big golds lagging somewhat. In the oils, Woodside down a touch but the others steaming up with interest in the oil specs.

Asia a bit lumpy and bumpy:

Well there we go, another record high but the good news for bearz is that these ongoing new highs are being trumpeted by the media so with a bit of luck the top is not too far away. All Ords closed +0.2%. Retailers the only sector that hit the red on my screen.

Golds looked fairly stable and the oils did ok.

Over in Asia, China and India stayed aloft but the others ran out of steam.

And a volatile start in Europe:
