specie
i believe that there have been two extraordinary factors that have raised oil prices despite the fact it is overabundant and difficult to store. 1st, the banksters have loaned way to much to too many marginal producers and are not going to get their money back. they are desperately trying to boost oil prices to reduce the potential bankruptcies. They are probably using 20 - 30 times leverage in the efforts. good luck with that 2nd, it is likely that china is buying as much oil as they can from heavily indebted 3rd world countries as a means of securing future sources of oil and preventing the likely interference from the US/IMF regarding debt restructuring i doubt either desperate source of buying can grow or even continue at it's current pace
