Guest
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Teddy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Scioto County Dog Pound Those of you who are experiencing the miniseries TAKEN on a weekly basis will relate to what I'm going to say - that the last scene of Episode 6 with the three dolphins turning slowly and majestically towards 3-year-old Allie to be in communion with her is so touching, so perfect, so magical and so totally symbolic of The Great Truth that we are all ultimately interconnected. Not just with one another but with all of the other creatures we share this planet with. And our being the dominant species (on this planet) carries with it the great responsibility to act as responsible stewards for the other life forms who also call Earth their home rather than be indfferent to their welfare. For, as I've mentioned a number of times prior, my vision of Judgment Day is the day when we as a race will be judged by one or more of the elder and much more advanced races in the galaxy after First Contact is made. First Contact might not happen for hundreds of years. Or it might happen tomorrow. Or it might have already happened and we are already being judged. And I'm convinced that a good part of what will be (or is already being) considered regarding our final grade is how we relate to the other life forms on Earth. Which, in fact, is quite logical once you think about it. Now we have made lots of progress in this department in recent years. But we still have a good way to go. For example, in a frantic race against time on the Internet last Monday night, Nancy reached out across state lines and participated in saving the lives of two innocent little girl Beagle puppies in Ohio who were scheduled to be put to death early the following morning at the Scioto County Dog Pound in a most inhumane way. They were going to be crammed into a very small chamber and gassed. Luckily these two were rescued but what about the others at that particular shelter as well as all the others in that state? It's bad enough that because of homeless animal overpopulation a certain number of them who are not adopted have to be put down. But to gas them (which is very often done using incorrect methods) or shoot them (which is also done in Ohio on a daily basis) is particularly cruel. There is a much more humane method available. Therefore both Nancy and I now request that those of you who live in Ohio and/or have friends or relatives there act on or at least pass along the following information: Ohio State House Bill #104 was introduced by Rep. Chris Redfern, of Ottawa County, after seeing news coverage on the shooting of dogs in Southern Ohio. The request is for whoever lives in Ohio to call or write his or her State House Representative to support and mandate Lethal Injection for Ohio's unwanted Companion Animals and to end the shooting and gassing of these helpless creatures once and for all. The Ohio Humane Education Association provides more information on this issue. www.house.state.oh.us is the link to use to find the correct representative to contact - all that's needed by anyone using it is to provide his or her Zip Code. It is suggested that anyone who calls regarding this ask to speak to the representative directly, not his or her staff. Enough people doing this will make a difference. rog
AMG reports net outflows in US equity funds of $854m. This is the first report in the wake of the Putnam chapter of the ongoing MF fraud story. This outflow is in contrast to the $6b per week inflows over the last 5 weeks. Riverboaters pulled money out of bond funds and equity funds. Let see if money supply bounces next week or if the money goes to pay bills.
Bearbones
Alan Newman has a new "chart of the month" that illustrates the heightened action in bulletin board shares. There is now more than 6 times the action there than last year at this time. wndysrf
Huge squeeze in NVDA, SNDK today. Need to watch GE and MSFT. If those two can start moving back up, then 10,000 Dow and 2000 Nasdaq is a cinch, and we'll be headed on a new leg up, likely to be the final March 2000 blowoff where the Nasdaq can gain another 1000 points in just a few weeks. scottcardiff
89-90 is fib cluster resistance for this moonshot of a stock (SNDK). May provide an opportunity for a .15 cent scalp on the downside.

machinehead
HA HA HA - with today's data and the revisions, "hundreds of thousands" of new jobs. Jobs spewing out of a fire hose. Jobs out the wazoo! As usual, when Diana Olick first enunciated the magic number, you could hear Kudlow on the laugh track, goin' "WAHOO!" and slappin' his knee. Well, bring it on, as they say. This is the sixth day in a row of SUPER BLOWOUT statistics. Great, just great. So what are they gonna do for us next week?
Tonto
Any takes on the utilities? Ive seen renewed interest in some of my old March favorites.......CPN, CNP, WMB, DYN.......make or break time as well on this index......all kinds of fuel around!!! If it breaks up solidly I will probably go long the above 4 stocks or other ideas. If it breaks down then Ill look for a couple good shorts in the sector....any ideas either way it breaks? Gotta have a plan either way...I never pretend Iknow what will happen...
