The bond market is a ticket to safety in a deflationary world that lies beyond any temporary spurt in prices. The stock market is a ticket to a game of hot potato based on whatever liquidity can be jammed in to keep valuations where they make no sense. The gold market is a ticket to a lifeboat in a world of central bank mismanagement. It remains to be seen whether this "recovery" proceeds on, what has been, a normal but sluggish path. Recent "touchy feely" stats seem to indicate a pickup in hiring that might be a prelude to wage growth and the end to the white collar slave trade in the U.S. Gentlemen, start your portfolios.
