HRLive Weekly Layoff Report Week ending July 22nd http://www.hrlive.com/layoffs.php Rough tally looks like 30,095 new permanent layoffs this week Keep in mind that if the truth of these numbers actually show up in the data released by the labor department, it should send the Ten Year Yield to the basement and reduce the likelihood of a rate increase. Shorting stocks tied to the housing sector could be costly if this transpires...at least on a temporary basis. Since they need to keep the Ten Year Yield low to save the consumer and the housing market, be on the lookout for stocks that will collapse on bad jobs data. Will they admit the job losses?
