Today I read the following:

Frm Canadian Columnist:

That ?70?s show

?But Albertans might as well get used to the attention. On the plus side, U.S. demand for Alberta's oil and gas has never been higher, at a time when its value - strategic as well as economic - is more widely recognized than ever before. The current crude oil spike may not last, but the surging economies of India and China look set to fuel demand and keep prices in the $40-a-barrel range.

The Chinese in particular, with foreign exchange reserves of half a trillion dollars, seem set to become a player on the Alberta scene. They are rumoured to be interested in investment in the oilsands, and PetroChina has been eyeing EnCana, the Calgary exploration company. ?

Has anyone seen this info any where else?

Since we just recently learned of China buying a Canadian mining company,

I have a question.

If China is getting the oil and minerals they need by BUYING them,

why do we (USA) have to go to war to get ours?

Why can't we also just buy what we need?

Jerry Rubin,

the professional troublemaker, said,

?There?s no difference between capitalists and communists,

they both count money?.

George Wallace,

segregationist

and independent presidential candidate with 10% of the electorate, said

?There?s not a dime?s worth of difference

between a republican and a democrat.?

Ross Perot,

crackpot billionaire

and independent presidential candidate with 20% of the electorate, said it too.

and now. . .

Nader says it, too. Some Bears and Fixcal Conservatives would deny Nader's usefulness -- wrongly, IMVHO.

What does RonPaul say? Does he, as a Libertarian, agree that there's no difference between the DEM-PUBs?

To know that Kerry & Gore facilitated Scalia & Thomas is the worst condemnation one could make, is it not, for their constituency?

Learning that B$ served in a leadership role before may add gravitas to his opinions, unless you been watching him trade the last year. :D

I knew from when I first started lurking at the stool that B$ was money. Anybody who says so much in so few words, and so knowledgably, would be worth paying attention to.

Say the word, B$, we'll all move to BC & make you Premier!

How fast can a RE market change?

Here's a snippet from realtytimes.com on how fast it turned in Summerlin, one of the hottest markets in Vegas over the last few years..prices go up until they hit "the wall" and then kaboom...25% discount to find buyers..

"THEN we just had one very greedy builder who raised prices very aggressively over $100,000 in Summerlin this past Spring into the $600,000's declare war on sellers in the neighborhood where the builder and home owners are both selling their homes. The builder just recently decided to drop their new home prices $150,000 to get back to normal sales and clearly the resale home prices are reflecting this price change in Summerlin. "

I smell blood in the water now..

Twig-this is the influence of "Meathead" the serial gropin Goobenor of Californicate who constantly taunts about Girlie-men which of course proves he is one! ;)

Funny that "Der Gubbernator" should also be called Arnold.

Pink Floyd early stuff "Arnold Layne" had a strange hobby--collecting clothes--moonshine washing line--they suit him fine

Guy stole women's clothing from washing lines at night to try it on!

Der Gubbernator--methinks he doth protest too much B)
