jstrack
Butterfield, that is extreme wishful thinking, but I highly endorse your sentiments here. May god bestow devine providence upon this land and may the winner of this election do the right and wise things for us and the greater good. NWD
Panda Bear A "common approach to law enforcement?" I'm not sure what that means exactly, but it sounds wonderful. Won't have that "Bill of Rights" thingy fouling things up.

brian4
Bizzaro- Canada will not buy into this, not a hope in Hell in fact I think Paul Martin is being smart letting the talks take place cuz when push comes to shove he will simply say Canadians don't want this-therefore I say no on their behalf! Peeb hate to break your bubble but we actually make the drugs we consume right here in Canada. We have only been importing to meet the demand from the U.S.. Butterfield 8
HH - yes, you are probably right. there are universal laws of nature which can only be defied temporarily. Maybe I'll send Kerry a copy of the I Ching. Just needed something positive to focus on. there is only so much truth one can handle in a day. Butterfield 8
Brian - do hope you are right about Martin. At this moment, I doubt the US has anything to offer Canada in a deal. You are holding all the cards.

Pee - My impression of this is that the Canadian pharmacies are trying not to ruin a good thing by taking it too far. Huge bulk sales of cheap drugs to the U.S. would almost certainly result in the drug companies limiting the amount of drugs that they will sell to Canadian pharmacies. Perceived drug shortages in Canada would result in the practice being banned altogether on the Canadian side, which would benefit no one (except of course the drug companies).
