machinehead
"Four humps and a slump?" Â Futures market adds to its Fed expectations?By Rex NuttingWASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Expectations for further rate hikes by the Federal Reserve increased Wednesday following stronger-than-expected U.S. growth in the second quarter. The market still expects the Fed to pause at the December meeting, but the odds are lengthening. The federal funds futures market is pricing in 90 percent odds of a rate hike to 2 percent at the Nov. 10 meeting, up slightly from 84 percent on Tuesday. For the December meeting, the market is giving 40 percent odds of a rate hike to 2.25 percent, up from 32 percent earlier. Â As Mad Al's career dies, he evidently wants to take the economy down with him. Â "Apres moi, le deluge!", cackles the deranged old statist, jingling the gold coins in his pockets.
