Here we are, heading off into the stratosphere once again. All Ords +0.3% but it looks like we have resistance at the current level so it'll be interesting to see if the index breaks through or gives up. A wash of red beginning to appear so could be the latter option. Banks are green, as is Newscorp which is continuing yesterday's run.

In the golds, Lihir flat but the others still wallowing in the red, down around 1%. Oils +0.7%.

Asia looking dodgy. Nikkers leapt at open and was immediately sold off, flat atm. Singers making an expanding formation at the highs so best guess is the dive from here.

Australian Business Expectations Remain Flat For Next QTR:Survey

SYDNEY, April 6 Asia Pulse - Australian business expectations remain flat for the quarter ahead, as the outlook for profits and sales stay at 12 month lows, a new survey has revealed.

D&B Australia and New Zealand chief executive Christine Christian said the survey suggested that business growth was likely to ease somewhat in the second half of 2004.

"This slowdown in consumer spending is being felt most strongly in the retail sector, where sales and profits expectations are at their lowest levels in 12 months," she said.

"Almost 30 per cent of retailers now report signs of a slowdown in consumer spending."

"In addition, 54 per cent of all executives say a slump in consumer spending as a result of a further interest rate rise would have a direct negative effect on their business," she said.

Hmmm well a fairly bearish day really with the intraday chart showing a bump and grind consolidation at the lows going into close. Lots of red onscreen but All Ords managed to squeeze out +2.8 (+0.1%). Banks closed up but off their highs and Newscorp scraped home with marginal green.

Golds down 1-1.5% and oils flat.

Asia all over the place: Nikkers got the viagra jumpstart off the lows zooming up +1%, Singers fell out of the expanding triangle and now doing the sideways thing at the lows, flat and Honkers +1.5%. Sri Lanka down a nahsty -9.7% and Sth Korea soaring +2.6%... WTF?

Usual idiotic yo-yoing around the opening price.Up then down then back up again.

Prolly on its way to 357 and that should be all she wrote as it's a 78.6% retrace level.Overhead resistance right here at 354ish but the index doesn't seem too bothered by any resistance of late. All crap and fraud anyway.Just follow the S&P

as every other Euroindex does!

Indicators looky toppy but when the loons are in charge of the asylum, who knows!

Not worth following until a major move announces itself.

Loads of fake terrorist activity here at stations. All sorts of suspect packages found in trains and stations.Few thousand people stranded in Amsterdam on Sunday night/Monday morning as they closed down virtually ALL public transport around Amsterdam due to a suspect package.Seriously disruptive stuff.
