Per Hyper:

"If you stack Gold and silver coins...it is to survive the debt deflationary implosion...not to get rich quick..."

This finally makes sense to me and is the answer to my most basic question -- By owning gold/silver, do we actually realize asset appreciation, or just maintain purchasing power.

you'll "maintain purchasing power", but everyone around you will get wiped out, thus elevating your relative position. Hyper is right, none of us wants to live in that world. but it's coming anyway.

It seems to me there are far too many people on the planet to keep 'em all occupied doing clever things such as designing or manufacturing or mining physical goods, or providing entertainment, or growing food, or whatever. It's probably been this way as long as there's been a division-of-labor economy. Thus the tendency for a banker class to develop that "changes paper" all day as they used to say in the Bible. This gives the appearance of useful employment but as Hyper describes leads down a slippery slope of mathematical decay as interest charged inevitably exceeds the productivity of the real economy. The banker class thus bleeds everyone else, as human nature would dictate. Until humanity solves this problem, we'll continually find ourselves back in the jam we're in now.

Down at the arsenal

Where they keep the nerve gasses

Guarded day and night

By caged white Rabbits

Been sitting there for years

Now I'm gonna have at it

I cut trough the fence

Run right in and grab it

Go crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy

Now i got the mustard gas in my pocket,

climb on a tree on a branch and drop it

On a country club fullof saturday gathers,

so i can watch them die

chokin shakin in convulsion,

go crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy

Chemical Warfare

Chemical Warfare

Chemical Warfare

Warfare Warfare

Chemical Warfare

Chemical Warfare

Chemical Warfare

Warfare Warfare

Panic in the air

See the headless Chickens runnin'

Golf carts crash

Cracking head wide open

Scratch the grass

So mister you can't breathe

And roll and writhe

In a sandtrap starting to heave

Claw those clubs let me see you seethe

crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy

and roll and whine in a sand trap

starting to heave,

Claw those clubs, lemme see you seethe,

crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy,crazy

yellow air

Yellow clouds

blowin' down down down the fairwar

Sensative to the touch

Movin' Down down the putting green

Blowin' straight for the big club house

Where the stuffed country club

Efferescent ladies so carefree

Relax pose by the pool

Limber limp

With a dry Martini

Until...

(ahh... what is going on?... )

In a crisis situation you would get a dictatorship...with a rubber stamp Congress and Senate...Like just after 9-11...The Homeland security department is actually the Government in waiting...In an Implosion scenario I don't see why the powers would need a Congress or Senate...

Yeah! The House on 6/2 rejected the idea of APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES

to replace those who MAY be killed in a mass attack. Maybe someone has

some sense after all.
