Oil up (w/spigots in IRAQ now OFF) but as noted by Wyndy energy sectors

and components have been down (divergence) at least until today:

P&F charts show new breakdowns on some:

ex: TSO (also unfilled gap at 20)

UPL

DVN

EPEX etc.

Yet others strong w/ internals improving on many broken down

stockcharts

Holding long many of the above, may be time to add

Iraq Stops Pumping Oil From Basra Fields

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq (news - web sites) stopped pumping oil from its key southern oil fields Monday because of the violence plaguing the region during a renewed Shiite uprising, an official with the South Oil Company said.

Maybe we should INVADE Iraq to secure the oil supply.

Oh wait, I forgot, we already did! :lol: :P :D

This market doesnt have a pulse today.

Wouldnt surprise me to see continued flatline until the gladiator releases his "risks are balanced to the upside and downside" statement tomorrow.

The only action I can find is in the oil pits which is being ignored by everything else.

Again the fed takes centre stage and for alll the wrong reasons.

Machinehead, don't you fret, not.

Trust Rummy! "We don't need more troops in Iraq."

Do you suppose those guys could EVER admit a mistake?

<<sigh>>

We are witnessing the wonders of monetary inflation expressed through the price of energy. The Fed will have to create money all the faster just so consumers can "keep up".

From Through the Looking Glass (Carroll 1872):

"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do to keep in the same place"

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death.

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess

with an Egyptian boyfriend

crashes in a French tunnel,

driving a German car

with a Dutch engine,

driven by a Belgian who was drunk

on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling)

followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,

on Japanese motorcycles;

treated by an American doctor,

using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by an American,

using Bill Gates's technology,

and you're probably reading this on your computer,

that use Taiwanese chips,

and a Korean monitor,

assembled by Bangladeshi workers

in a Singapore plant,

transported by Indian lorry-drivers,

hijacked by Indonesians,

unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,

and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization

One of the causes of Oil Shock I was that oil producers were irked by the dollar's steady loss of purchasing power. Nixon (who quit 30 years ago today) added insult to injury by refusing to exchange their surplus dollars into gold.

Nothing has changed, except that we import a lot more oil now. :mellow:

CCL doesn't appear to like higher oil prices.

Looks like I was only two hours early shorting it. Usually I'm two months, or years, early. :ph34r:

Good Job!

I got onboard both CCL and RCL again this morning.

When RCL goes sub-$38, it's a quick trip to $30
