I_Am_Madness
Guess which stock has a market cap greater than IBM, Intel, Cisco, and Dell COMBINED? Answer: Apple Common stock is worthless at the root which is the beauty of the stock casino. Since there is no real intrinsic value hence there is no real metric to measure.....Anything goes even the relative obscene example above. I'm 99% sure in 5 years from now we'll be asking ourselves. Oh boy, how could we not have shorted that pig at 540 and held.

bundys_dodge
Yummy! Oh My! Its all for the children... Seven Million Pounds of “Pink Slime” Beef Destined for National School Lunch Program By Sarah B. Weir, Yahoo! blogger | Healthy Living – Thu, Mar 8, 2012 1:05 PM EST McDonald's and Taco Bell have banned it, but now the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is buying 7 million pounds of beef containing ammonium hydroxide-treated ground connective tissue and meat scraps and serving it up to America's school kids. -- "Scientists in D.C. were pressured to approve this stuff with minimal safety approval," Zirnstein told The Daily. -- "Pink slime," which is officially called "Lean Beef Trimmings," is banned for human consumption in the United Kingdom. It is commonly used in dog and chicken food. http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/seven-million-tons-8220-pink-slime-8221-beef-180500764.html

MrHanky
Looks like we are on track for yet another "lowest volume of the year".The volume bars on ES are so tiny you can barely see them on a live chart.QQQ volume non-existant as well. I know, only price matters I don't think the market could go much higher without destroying treasuries here FWIW.The powers that be have to decide which is more important. That SHOULD be treasuries but...... capitall
My take, Equities sell off hard in PM, Dollah over 80.20, Gold/Silver/Oil drop but not as hard as the stock market garbage Intermarket correlations e.g. dollah up, equities down, gold down, treasuries up -- these correlations work until they don't. If you look at long term charts, you can see that the intermarket correlations we have had in recent years are not set in stone.

Volume was also low on Tuesday's decline. Since it's mostly HFT computers trading, and not so many humans, why should there ever be any volume in the markets? BTW, speaking of Crapple, I read that now they have a market cap bigger than the GDP of Poland. I wonder what country's GDP they will overtake next before they crash. Kind of ridiculous. But markets are not known for being rational.
