Dustbowl
B4 That fool is a disgrace to the world. My repub friends are digusted also. They tell me they won't vote at all this time. I know this is a too small sample but I have a friend here at the Oklahoma Dem HQ and she says that they have handed out all the Kerry signs and are pleading for more. They couldn't give the Gore signs away with free ice cream last time. This area is a very conservative part of the country. One other thing that I have noticed: in the more affluent areas there are tons of Kerry signs in the yards. The reverse is true in the lower-middle class areas. Seems kinda backwards given the tax cuts and all.
twignberries
I can't wait until the next debate. God only knows what stupid things will come out of Shrubs pie hole when he tries to eliminate the stammering and long pauses. The man needs time to think - and not a short amount of time either. brian4
Another small sample Dusty I live 2 miles from the U.S. Border and being a resort community we get a lot of Washington and Oregon folk frequenting our Bed and Breakfasts year round now when the iraq thingy happened it got ugly Canucks had their cars keyed etc, bumper stickers proclaimed love America or leave it etc. but now our visitors are far more likely to sport a JohnKerry.com bumper sticker or a simple small Kerry over an American flag. Dustbowl
Hey Twigs, I was thinking about that today. If Georgie overreacts and justs sits there with a little smile on his face and tries to act calm, people will think he is disengaged just like his daddy was. Georgie has a tough few weeks ahead IMHO. Guest
I am watching a Town Hall Meeting of Mothers and Wives of Military on CSPAN. I am appalled at the number of items critical to the support of our military that George Bush/Co has cancelled/eliminated. A Question: Are we at WAR or is this a conflict? the women are saying that after Bush said it was over, the Iraq theatre was downgraded to a conflict. He also cut Hazardous duty pay from $225/mo to $150/mo. that the mental health and medical treatment for the Guard and Reserves is not there, Why is this not in the news? where is the protest? Sheeeeesh!
Dustbowl
Well, what a week. On the political front we made some points. On the trading front, someone needs to help me pull that telephone pole outta my ass.
Guest
I didn't realize this, but the spokesperson on that Cspan show is the the wife of John Edwards. Man, that is one powerfully smart lady!! She is talking about why Americans get the contracts in Iraq and workers come from Somalia while the Iraqis get no contracts or jobs. Dustbowl, I love you already! What a fantastic idea! She is truly great. Maybe she will replace Hillary? We already know that Mrs. Bush rules his roost, then come Karl and Dick. This man has no ideas of his own. LOL

Dustbowl
Sherlock: I have never met E. Edwards but I have met J. Edwards twice in small group meetings. He was awesome. Where has he been on the campaign trail? They need to get him out front.
