As long as XLNX stays below 29.80 from where I shorted it, I'm sticking with the short but, this morning is rather demoralizing. I was hoping Taiwan Semi wouldn't carry over here that much but, alas. . . .

Tanks for info.Are they really at 98% capacity--things really must be busting a gut in Asia.

 

It is strange that Philips recently sold about a billion in TSMC stock-but it was to shore-up their Q3 results!

here are some of the details from TSMC - yes, really 98% this Q but down to 95 next due to seasonality and new capacity already coming online:

TSMC ramping 12-inch fab as 3Q net quadruple

 

These results are strong, but I do think it's mixed for the semi market as a whole, including equip. When TSMC adds capacity it might mean several other companies who are now outsourcing to TSMC don't. All part of the productivity miracle.

I watch the $tnx intraday. Was up 9 bp's from yesterday PM low. Now up 6-7 bp. 3 bp gap up on open.

i use ratios to compute moneyflows, and i'm not seeing them.
