The ratio was at or near that level for most of 2003. Over the month, the civilian labor force decreased by 392,000 to 146.5 million, and the labor force participation rate fell to 65.9 percent. Didn't Leeson and the G Strap 7 drone on about taking the volatility out of currencies and bringing stability to the financial markets ? Ag Yeah, with 6000 HedgeHogs gunning every single piece of paper with 10:1 leverage, what do you expect? I imagine that the fire alarms are now sounding inside the 700-story JPM/One Derivative Tower. Can you imagine the blowups occurring in the OTC Derivative markets. Probably a bunch of blank screens. No bids, no asks.... Mass confusion.......
