crapax
the dow was down 508 points on that monday oct 19 1987 And that was a 22% drop. A 22% drop from these levels is a 2250 point drop. July 02 anyone?
Silky_Xlax
Divergences and some crucial dates for next week Am noticing a few divergences here - 1. NYSE volume is close to topping Nasdaq volume - hmmm.... either the selling is spreading to white-shoes blue-chips or selling is drying up on Nasdaq 2. SOX has been quitely outperforming the indices for last 4 days - is in fact Up today - hmmm... 3. TRIN is low on a down day, its abt .6 now TRIN = (Adv / Dec ) / (Adv Vol / Dec Vol) OR = Adv * Dec Vol / Dec * Adv Vol Looking at it as an equation, I think it shows that Declining volume is not comminsurate with the number of issues decling OR even tho # of Advancers are low, the Adv Volume is high Any thoughts / insights would be appreciated. Now, for some interesting dates for next week: Using 2000 tops (3/10 for Nasdaq and 3/24/00 for SPX) and 10/10/02 bottoms: Nasdaq - 61.8% retrace is on May-15 SPX - 61.8% retrace is on May-6 Bradley turn dates - 5/9 and 5/17 This cluster of so many dates is intriguing... - Silky

fxfox
Red Cross reports that torture in Iraq was PLANNED and so it is not just a thing of a few mentally ill soldiers. But hey, dont we all know that the Red Cross are a bunch of commies, I mean it isnt named RED Cross without a reason. That Rambofeld doesnt resign is a joke, but not a good one.
