Guest
Depends, Look a little further down the article. They plan on opening 65-70 new stores in 2004. Currently they have over 600 stores. These closing are just going to be write offs.

mjkst27
looks like PTF will open with a $1 gap up once the bid/ask compresses and it actually trades.
Hiding Bear
You might have heard already but a prospectus for a new gold ETF was filed filed by Barclays on Friday. Previous gold ETF filings have had technical problems, which may or may not yet be worked out. They say "The trust will not hold or trade in commodity futures contracts regulated by the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA)". Which is good. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/127...5-04-016457.txt http://cbs.marketwatch.com/news/story.asp?...t=&archive=true
Guest
WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Currency values should be set in a competitive marketplace, Treasury John Snow told reporters in Miami on Monday following the Group of Seven meetings in Boca Raton, Fla., over the weekend. "Interventions should be kept to a minimum, but we never say never, either," Snow said, according to media reports. Snow repeated that a strong dollar is in the interest of the United States. On Saturday, G-7 ministers rejected a European call to intervene in foreign exchange markets to arrest the decline of the U.S. dollar, but did say that excessive volatility should be avoided. Intervention by central banks in currency markets would involve buying dollars with other currencies to boost the price of the dollar. Gawd, he thinks he's James Bond "Never say never again"

Especially for daytrading scalps.....
