Guest
Crude oil indicator on CNBS suddenly showing UNCH...which I'm sure is false - but the market is moving up to coincide with it. Just another conspiracy theory.
soup
I do not know why I torture myself, but the mkt cap of tasr is what? " TASER Intl receives 3 large orders valued at over $1 mln (TASR) 33.39" Why would an order of a million even be on someone radar screen?
Guest
Recent results of forcing democracy at the barrel of a gun... A report last week from a Washington think-tank - the Centre for Strategic and International Studies - flatly contradicts the rosy picture painted in official US statistics. More than half of all Iraqis live below the poverty line. Unemployment is anywhere between 25% and 60%. Sewage systems are worse than they were under Saddam Hussein. Half of the country's children drop out of school before the age of 12. Corruption is rampant, including in government ministries. Hiding Bear
The Fed added $0.75 more to the repo pool, sticking with its aggressive monetary base expansion mode. Not that it's working - the money supply is still stagnant. Should Ivan strike New Orleans or another major city, I would guess that the Fed may even become more aggressive for a few days. The upcoming, real surprise to the market in October will be the level of monetary intervention needed to get the economy moving past its soft patch. This should help gold, silver, energy.
