I still have, at my Mom's home in Richmond, the original skateboard put out by Whamo in the early '60's with steel wheels on a red, wood board. Exactly as pictured below.

"Wait a second, maybe THIS was the most dangerous toy ever. The classic Steel-Wheel Roller Derby Skateboard! You couldn't steer it, you couldn't control it in any way, and if there were a microscopic chunk of gravel on the sidewalk, the damn thing would lock up, tossing you forward in a crushing impact onto the pavement. Still, it was a skateboard. I'm sure many of you out there are rubbing (formerly) long forgotten wounds caused by this little monstrosity."

Pass it over to me..

Gruff- is Brussels a time zone east of London or is it the daylight savings thing?

BW,

I always get confused with timezone stuff. Truly - no kidding!

I can share this with ye...

when it's 10pm in Brussels it's 9pm in London

when it's 3:30pm in Brussels it's 9:30am in New York

I often forget the above... and get porked :P

Success!

gruff

P.S. It's now 5:18am (in Brussels).... and I still got some more beer! :)

Gold high so far tonight on my quote system is showing $399.90 so I'm wondering if they don't want to take out the stops in the night session but instead wait for the day session and gap it open around $415 so all the poor bastards with stops get filled there instead of at $400.

You are not drinking fast enough.

A song to help you along.

There's blood in the streets,

It's up to my ankles.

There's blood in the streets,

It's up to my knees.

There's blood in the street,

The town of Chicago.

Blood on the rise,

It's followin' me.

Just about the break of day.

She came in town,

And then she drove away,

Sunlight in her hair.

Blood on the streets

Runs a river of sadness.

Blood in the streets,

It's up to my thighs.

The river runs down

The leg of the city.

The women are crying

Red rivers of weeping.

She came in town,

And then she drove away,

Sunlight in her hair.

*spoken* Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding,

ghosts crowd the young child's fragile,

egg-shell mind.

Blood in the streets,

In the town of New Haven.

Blood stains the roofs

And the palm tress of Venice.

Blood in my love,

In the terrible summer;

Bloody red sun of

fantastic L.A.

Blood screams her brain

As they chop off her fingers.

Blood will be born

In the birth of a nation.

Blood is the rose of

Mysterious union.

There's blood in the streets,

It's up to my ankles.

There's blood in the streets,

It's up to my knees.

There's blood in the street,

The town of Chicago.

Blood on the rise,

It's followin' me.

Peace Frog/ The doors. Morrison hotel.

I know you were joking Doc.

The peace pipe through song?

Led Zeppelin

I?ve been to london, seen seven wonders. I know to trip is just to fall

I used to rock it, sometimes I?d roll it. I always knew what it was for.

There can be no denyin? that the wind ?ll shake ?em down

And the flat world?s flyin?. there?s a new plague on the land

If we could just join hands (x3)

Traversed the planet when heaven sent me. I saw the kings who rule them all

Still by the firelight and purple moonlight. I hear the rested rivers call

And the wind is crying, from a love that won?t grow cold

My lover, she is lying, on the dark side of the globe

If we could just join hands (x3)

You got me rockin? when I ought to be a-rollin?

Darlin?, tell me, darlin?, which way to go

You keep me rockin?, baby, then you keep me stolen

Won?t you tell me, darlin?, which way to go... that?s right

Oh how I wonder, oh how I worry and I would dearly like to know

I?ve all this wonder of earthly plunder will it leave us anything to show

And our time is flyin? see the candle burnin? low

Is the new world rising, from the shambles of the old

If we could just join hands.

man, I feel about like the Nikkei right now. Caught some serious chills and the fever this evening. I haven't been sick in many years. Weird. I 'm sitting here bundled like an eskimo - thermals, winter cap, fluids, the whole nine. If it coincides with a phat down day, well I'll gladly take one for the team.

I was re-packing the bearings for the 10th time or so on one of my skateboard wheels, on a hill in Winnetka, Ill, when somebody yelled out that Kennedy was shot. I remember looking down at the metal band surface on the wheel with so many pebble holes in it, I couldn't believe, even then, that the thing could roll. I thought the name Whamo was especially approriate that day.

Like 9/11, one of those two or three moments in a lifetime that you always remember every detail, every breath, every tear.

Whamo also made yo-yo's.

Jokes 9400? Anyone?

Success!

Too wide Jokes chart to post here

Tomorrow?

It's a freakin' bloodbath in Asia right now. Key levels being breached all over the place.

Once 1400 NDX and 9700 Dow on the futures fall, we got a nice little air pocket.

Also making a killing on my short Yen and Aussie tonight. Gonna take some off right here.

WAY TOO MANY folks writin' off Uncle buck here while synchronous sell setups forming on various currencies. That wedge on the hourly Yen after the initial turn on Friday was one of the better setups I have seen in a while.

If Uncle Buck gets above 91.6, the retest of the retest of the low should be complete, and a decent bounce should be forthcoming. If it takes out 91, LOB.

Let's just hope this holds overnight, and tomorrow could be a very, very good day.
