Extraordinary Volatility

Their plan for Monday:

1. U.S. Dollar stick-save. (done)

2. Gold slapdown.

3. Flip stock futures to green just before open.

4. Bullhorn and short squeeze.

Hope they fail this time.

ITS SOUND OF MUSIC TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can almost hear the music .... "oh what a beautiful morning, o what a beautiful day, O what a beautiful morning .....everythings going my way"

many happy contented Bears

This Board is the perfect antidote to the mindless Proctovision poison that keeps Joe and Jane 6px mesmerised and trapped on tech crap land.

A very golden day indeed.

Its days like this that confirm the faith

AN INTERESTING COMMODITIES PLAY

Why not buy the MERC (CME) a great way to play the commodities boom - sells for only 16 times earnings which will rocket along with the boom.

Jimbo gives this idea 4 stars.

Merc Shareholders Cash Out at $67

By TSC Staff

11/14/2003 08:47 AM EST ?

Owners of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME:NYSE - commentary - research) have never been fonder of their East Coast stock-trading peer.

About 12 months after going public on the NYSE, the Merc announced Friday it had priced a 2.1 million-share secondary for selling shareholders at $67 each. The offering follows the expiration of a lockup agreement and was underwritten by Morgan Stanley.

The CME initial public offering priced at $35 on Dec. 6, 2002, and shares were at $42.90 by the end of the first day's trading. The shares approached $80 in early August and have eased a bit since then, but still represent nearly a 100% premium from their offering price.

I still have, at my Mom's home in Richmond, the original skateboard put out by Whamo in the early '60's with steel wheels on a red, wood board. Exactly as pictured below.

"Wait a second, maybe THIS was the most dangerous toy ever. The classic Steel-Wheel Roller Derby Skateboard! You couldn't steer it, you couldn't control it in any way, and if there were a microscopic chunk of gravel on the sidewalk, the damn thing would lock up, tossing you forward in a crushing impact onto the pavement. Still, it was a skateboard. I'm sure many of you out there are rubbing (formerly) long forgotten wounds caused by this little monstrosity."

Hahahahaha! I had one that was just slightly more well engineered. Slightly.

Steel wheels and a 'steering system' that consisted of a hard rubber washer that sat between the axel and the board and could, if you leaned really hard, be compressed a millimeter offering a sweet 3-degree turning angle.

Just enough, usually, to almost avoid the enlarged grain of sand that would send you flying.

Some of my most crystal clear memories from my early teens involve a skateboard. And colt 45's. And hills. And road rash.

Odd really, that the memories should be so clear......

[This is kind of a dumb post-but others posted songs and it's slow now pre-mkt.]

The inside info on today's $400 gold battle t'wixt the fixers and the longs

It's gonna be a real WANG DANG DOODLE

The gold longs song:

Tell Automatic Slim

Tell Razor Totin' Jim

Tell Butcher Knife Totin' Annie

Tell Fast Talkin' Fanny

ToDAY we're gonna pitch a ball

Down to that COMEX floor

Gonna romp and tromp 'till market close

We're gonna fuss and fight at night on access

We're gonna pitch a wang dang doodle all day long

Tell Poodle I'll tell him here

Tell Albert I'll see him near

Tell old Pistol Pete

Everybody gonna meet

ToDAY we need no rest

We're really gonna throw a mess

We're gonna break out all the windows

Gonna kick down all the doors

We're gonna pitch a wang dang doodle all day long

Tell Fats and Washboard Sam

That everybody's gonna jam

Just shake it Boxcar Joe

We got sawdust on floor

Tell Chicken Head Till I Die

We're gonna have a time

When the fish head fills the air

Be snuff juice everywhere

We're gonna pitch a wang dang doodle all day long
