Guest
"Nothing like awakening to the sound of a love-sick bull moose at day breaka little further north" Hunter 65 Hunter, You don't have to go all the way to Quebec either. I wake up to one every morning, here in southern B.C. I just tell him to go take a cold shower and then bring me the newspaper :wink2: Yeah, I know....Maine, New Hampshire, Michigan pennisula...all across the Nothern tier of states. Never tried to train one of those suckers to retrieve the paper NOR cook breakfast though. I'm not even sure the animal trainer from Ringling would be sucessful. Guest
The Pentagon on Friday released payroll records from President Bush's 1972 service in the Alabama National Guard, saying its earlier contention the records were destroyed was an 'inadvertent oversight.' The records cover July through September of 1972, when Bush was working as a campaign volunteer in Alabama... Developing... 'LOST' MILITARY RECORDS FOUND http://www.drudgereport.com/ Yeah, and maybe he'll find those pesky WMD now too. Biologicals from the dog trot? Check the shoe soles! Guest
Uh oh!!! Looks like layoffs are skyrocketing. HRLive Weekly Layoff Report Week ending July 22nd http://www.hrlive.com/layoffs.php Rough tally looks like 30,095 new permanent layoffs this week Keep in mind that if the truth of these numbers actually show up in the data released by the labor department, it should send the Ten Year Yield to the basement and reduce the likelihood of a rate increase. Shorting stocks tied to the housing sector could be costly if this transpires...at least on a temporary basis. Since they need to keep the Ten Year Yield low to save the consumer and the housing market, be on the lookout for stocks that will collapse on bad jobs data. Will they admit the job losses? Have you noticed the yield curve since the 20-yr has been eliminated? Lo-end isn't steep enough IMO to offset inflation and taxes. Results, paying taxes on negative returns. Liars figure and figures lie!
NWD
Art Cashin said they were leaving with suitcases full of money... I didn't hear Mr. Cashin's broadcast. Assuming that he meant to be taken literally, and that he really was refering to cash, actual Federal Reserve Notes, this sounds very ominous to me. Complacency can give way to panic in the blink of an eye.
depends
Ummmmmmmmmmm, Moose steaks I'm havin Checker (CHKR) burgers as I covered 1/2 today. Gotta eat. It's a Florida chain of drive thru garbage pits. I love shorting them and then I have a checker burger and fell like vomiting for a few days. It's great. When the price runs up on low volume I go short. http://www.checkers.com/index.asp
threadbare
Hunter, Whoa, Love sick bull meese. I thought you were talking about men! Hey, what is the plural of moose? "Mooses" sounds as ungainly as mooses look. Meese, moosi?--much like fungi?
stained jeans
Rung the cash register today for three reasons. Now 50% short. 1) five consecutive down weeks 2) my conversation with End this morning who warned me to watch for an up move 3) this chart -- pink numbers are FIb retracement days and today was #21 from the June 23 top A 50% retracement from here would take us back up to the 50-day MA. Next Friday is a Bradley turn date (July 30). I bet we spend next week moving up to 1116ish.
stained jeans
This has been a tough move to pin an EW count on. THis one matches the chart above and has the best look of any I have posted to date, IMO. 990 is the longer price objective for this count.
