Finally we found an old, jaded cynical Salesman who told the truth-he said "no one pays Cash, no one has cash, everyone leases, down payments more and more are put on plastic, no one really cares about credit scores anymore we just have to move the Iron. We do that with zero interest and extended terms. He said 7 years is on the horizon and 10 year terms would not surprise him at all. They sure as Hell aren't making any money our warranty is 5 years bumper to bumper with no deductibles and 7 on the power train. How long can they survive?? Also the extended warranties and extras like chinchilla rugs, and high-res GPS so that you know your daughter and her clothing are in the same location. Thats a new one ....ususally the is the excuse of choice cause it can be twisted any way they choose and it's foolproof....."unseasonably wet weather caused shoppers to stay home as chain store sales lagged".....or the "rainy weather caused people to shop more thus the reason for an increase in sales as shoppers spent more time indoors"... whatever fits....
