I am going to close out my longs from 6 weeks ago (on the assumption that the gold stocks will close down today). However, there is no clear top pattern yet, we just have that 3 down and 5 up run into last week (9.37) that has about a 40% probability of being an important high. IF we go down again tomorrow, the run pattern will be bearish at 1 up and 3 down. Therefore I could wait until tomorrow to see if that happens, but I really thought that I should sell yesterday when gold closed up and the gold stocks look like their closing down. Personally, I know that I am selling before getting a confirmation because I am happy will the profits and don't want to see them decrease. Be aware that since the large rise started this July, that I have been selling too early. It is perfectly feasible to get a big run up starting tomorrow into the high. If I had some clear pattern or signal I would be shorting, but I am not, reflecting the current uncertainty. The true sell signal would still be a 35-39 index sell signal and that is still very far away and won't occur for at least a month ( probably at prices lower than these).
