PileDriver
call me paranoid but I wonder if its just not a staged attempt by Crapvision to help push the POG down. You know, get all us Stoolie types nervous about gold now that its supposedly coming into favor by the "mainstream". I say keep buying it. Its climbing the wall of worry, and contrary to popular belief, mainstream ain't buying gold (yet). They may be "talking" about it but they ain't acting on it. And that is what really counts -actions. Crapvision

Drano
RICHARD HOEY WAS JUST ON CRAPVISION SAYING "i THINK WE CAN HAVE A 15-20% MOVE UP IN THE MARKETS IN ONE WEEK ONCE IRAQ IS RESOLVED" IN ONE WEEK 20%?????? i THOUGH CRUDLOW AND SCAMMER WERE BAD His name can be pronounced "Ho-ey" or "Hoo-ey." Either way works for me! Rats, (oops, no aspersions cast, Mousey), I was away all afternoon and missed almost all the fun. Almost because at least I was able to short RTEC  Too bad I wasn't here to shovel up some more Piles of free cash lying around.....
PileDriver
Mr Hanky, now what did I say about watching that show without the mute on?! Hmmm, are you being a bad boy and being disobedient ?! :wink2: Drano I clipped COX and ALTR at their ridiculous intraday highs. Both finished flat. RTEC took a nice tumble too. Off 6% from highs like ALTR. There truly are alot of fools out there.
FauxCaster
Mark wrote: So we quickly collapsed in the afternoon, probably due to some European selling. The Europeans must be totally astonished, witnessing the longest running MTV Spring Break episode of all time here in the States, knowing that a couple of bio attacks and/or some mysterious assassinations here would bring a quick end to the ongoing Borrow and Spend Rave Party. I've got to think you're right on that account. I watch Crapvision WORLD late at night here and one poodit said, he wouldn't consider America investment grade unless the DOW dropped 4000 points. Can you imagine that guy showing up at the usa Crapvision? He wasn't the 'official' contrarian view like Bill Gross is on usa Crapvision (Gross is always dismissed as having conflicts of interest because he's a bond guy on crapvision). No, this guy was making investment advice to european investors -- stay away from US equities for at least 4000 points on the DOW.

There are at LEAST 300 million unemployed in China. 36 million Americans suffer from HUNGER. 40 million Americans have NO health insurance. We are the richest society to EVER walk the face of the earth. Well, we WERE (don't look at our BALANCE SHEET NOW FUR Crissake!!!) Look how we treat our fellow citizens. buttugly
Mark - you are on FIRE - you have some serious writing talent. Only the Mogambo Guru comes close. Although must not forget our excellent host- the Good Doctor. That overeating/overdrinking commentary reminds me of a ski trip to Idaho I took in the 80s. I was a last minute inclusion as my big brother had organised this trip for his FOOTBALL buddies -and one of his pals pulled out. I wasn't 21 yet and I remember the struggle at the Ketchum bars. I seriously thought about trying to give myself a receding hairline with a strategic shave. After a huge night trying to keep pace with the BIG BOYS I ended up riding the Poreclain bus. I was so sick I refused to drink for the rest of the holiday. Thereafter I became known as "SPUDS McKenzie". All these guys went on to become hot shots on Wall Street. Lack of intellect did not hold them back. And sure enough whenever I would be in NYC visiting my favourite Century 21 (by the WTC) I would hear someone yell out "HEY SPUDS!!" So if you ever see someone being called SPUDS McKenzie on Wall Street you will know it's me. My point - this is all going to end EMBARASSINGLY. Which reminds me of another time in Tijuana - but I won't go there. I need to learn how to annotate a chart. But if you put a big circle around that move from the October low to the December high - that looks like a huge pile of "stranded longs". I see "dead people!" http://www.saavycharts.info/
phatbubble
call me paranoid but I wonder if its just not a staged attempt by Crapvision to help push the POG down. You know, get all us Stoolie types nervous about gold now that its supposedly coming into favor by the "mainstream". genius notion......although this would require remarkable self-awareness and cynicism on their part. but you never know. ot course, maybe they actually want to push it up, by exploiting their contrarian status among stoolie types and knowing that we'd normally fade them, but also anticipating that we'd see through such a staged attempt to push the POG down, and would buy more. sort of like being a triple agent. yeah........right. TE, wanna start a poll on when the limit down day is? with a pool? no limit down, no $ changes hands. winner takes 75% and 25% goes to doc for site upkeep.
