I hate this market. My miners are losing ground.

I need my chocolate frosted glazed donut!

WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Sherlock:

Bearing in mind that advice is worth what you pay for it.

Hedge the miners and cut out the carbs.

Ok, I'll skip the donuts and drink my BUD!

Now tell me how to "hedge the miners."

However, I am thinking that this drop in gold/silver is one a them there

illusion things..ya know.. wherein them matrix folks are a fixin' ta trick me outa mine

shares and take all that $1000 gold fer dem selves.

As a boy, M'Daddy werked fer a dollah a day! He understood money.

One day M'Daddy sed c'mere chile!

Ah luved M'Daddy and wuz an obedient chile. I dun ran to hiz side.

M'Daddy took an ole dollah outta hisn's pocket & put it in ma little hand.

I was jus rejoicin' at this gift, li'l chile that I wuz!!!!

As ah marvelled at that dollah, sittin' there on my open palm, M'Daddy

then sez to me, baby, ya see this h'yar dollah?

Yessir, Daddy sez me (thinkin' of all the candy I cud buy.)

Sez M'Daddy, girl, as long as this dollah is ya hand, ya kin make it work fer ya.

(now M'Daddy dun missed the candy gleam in mine eye.)

But M'Daddy had his werds to say so he went on.

As long as this h'yar dollar is in ya hand, ya kin make it grow bigger by investin',

first a dollah, then a dollah one, then a dollah two then a dollah three and so on.

That M'girl is the secret to riches.

But, says M'Daddy, there's them thar folks out thar that dun wanna fer you

to prosper, so theyz gunna snatch that dollah right smack outta yer hand!

(OH NO! who be dem folks seekin' ta fetch my dollah and take away mine

prosperity--whatever that be?)

Suddenly, M'Daddy snatched that ole dollah right outta mine open palm like a pidgeon swoopen' on a bit o'grain; an he plunked it right back inta hiz pocket.

After a long pause, M'Daddy sez:

"Chile, I jes dun taught ya 'bout the world of money."

Now, this h'yar is a TRUE STORY.

M'Daddy been gone now quite a few years.

He dun followed his principles and invested in cattle, grain and many things.

He owned 12 houses w/tenants when he passed. But, ya see, M'Momma didn't believe in M'Daddy's principles, so now she is old and poor... all gone.

Now this po chile still remembers that long ago dollah snatched back from her palm.

If M'Daddy is up ther watchin', he'll see that this chile dun got her fingers

closed tight o'er that dollah (today we call 'em assets). So until hell freezes over,

them folks that dun wanna me ta prosper ain't a gonna get my gold/silver shares.

And they ain't agonna git my gas and oil shares neither. Cause I can see clearly

that the dollah-snatchers are in town.

Think about it.  When the rules of private ownership (property law, legalized usury, etc.) is such that a few individuals amass great wealth, in gross proportional excess to their proportion of the population -- and then the rest of society tolerates this situation -- it is only inevitable this small group will simply take control of the state.  Why?  Because they can more completely cement their relatively advantageous station in society, and also, simply because they can.

Yes, the converse is equally true.  When the state amasses concentrated power, from there it inevitably takes control of economic production, and the organization(s) thereof (of whatever form they take).  Why?  Because the individuals holding power in the state can enrich themselves, and also, simply because they can.

The result is the same either way; a small group of individuals with near total ownership and power, over everything.  Fascism.

Myself, I don't care about the route taken when the destination completely stinks.

Fourteen Defining Characteristics Of Fascism

By Dr. Lawrence Britt

scorecard- are we feeling safer now?

9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

"Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. " Benito Mussolini

EUR/USD reached the 1.2350 pivot. I raised my stop to break-even.

Upward action looking weak. A couple probes above 1.2350 quickly came back down. I'm getting that bad feeling. Oh well, at least it's the house's money at this point.

wonmug,

Those are good points. I especially like the one about cronyism. Here in the U.S., it's amazing how the same names keep cropping up over and over, despite any change in President, governmental approach, etc. Names of people in some post or another, within the state or a corpse, will pop up that I recognize from 20 or even 30 years ago.

When the state, especially the executive branch, changes from rep to dem, or vice versa, the players just switch roles between the "private" and "public" spheres. This ring-around-the-rosie game goes on smoothly all the time, in spite of all the heated rhetoric put out there for bread and circuses reasons. In the end, it's the same small group in influential posts; the persons and posts are just mixed and matched differently from time to time.

Possible EW count on the NDX, SPX, etc; wave 1 + some kind of running correction at wave 2 (eg a running double 3).

Very bullish if as seems likely we lauch higher from here.

I am really glad I left this SPX party Monday at the close. Made a few and change on the long side yesterday, closed postions too early because I didn't believe the rally.

With the entire world flaming bullish tonight, FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION. All good news recently has been sold - this good news HAS to stick. But I don't see how it CAN'T fail, down the road a few days. However, I still respect Doc's 1200 cmap from wayback, and we'll see how many candles they can light tomorrow.

Tig,

Where have you been?

Missed ya.

Hey TE,

Around, though not posting much (and reading too slowly to reply in a polite timeframe :D ).

Hope all is well, looks like tomorrow is going to be a toe curling day for this 'lil sexpot.

The futures are starting to move higher now, which isn't very shocking for this time of day, just a couple of hours late. Lately, the overnight hijinks have not held after the open. Still, after yesterday's session, today could easily produce a continuation move higher.

EUR/USD now languishing around 1.2340, where it's been for about an hour. Like the spoos futures, it's a "watching the paint dry" sort of session.

Here's the HUI...

IMHO as long as Gold doesn't close under 398 and the HUI under Monday's lows the trend is still up. If we breach 398 on a closing basis the fight will be over 390.

Right on cue, XAU/USD just took a $1.00 haircut, starting at 5:30 a.m. It's now sitting right at $400.00. This could be the start of a 5:30 a.m. slap-down, which were so common a month or two back, although this is pretty weak, at $1.00 in half an hour.

EUR/USD concurrently dropped to 1.2315 in this same time frame. I got stopped out of my long at break-even. I'm right back where I started -- entry stops at 1.2333 and 1.2310.

The excitement continues.
