sandy beach
Goldman Sacks reports that (wait for it) spinning disks are under price pressure from SSDs (stunner). Nobody, I mean nobody knew! Seagate (STX) off 7% on this epic revelation! Thank goodness they pointed that out because it was completely unknown until today. How did they figure this out? sandy beach
20 billion dollar company Western Digital Corp (WDC) now below its 52-week low at $65 down from a high of $106. P/E of 8.7. Seagate with a P/E of 10 with a valuation of 15 billion. Cuz nobody b needing hard drives anymore per Mr. Sacks.
sandy beach
Buying a tiny bet in STX at $51.30 just for the fun of it. It did the same thing back on May 1st and popped back up. 200-day on the daily at $50.86 and linear support at $48.56 during the last spike low. Upside to $57ish. sandy beach
WDC chart looking ugly with 50-day below 200-day but at the bottom of the bollinger bands almost. MACD hasn't crossed over. (STX it just about did except today's route aborted it). Looks like some linear support around 57ish from July 2017. I think I'll pass for now. BurntOnce
i still use those western digital usb external disk drives for backups and such. they're not terribly robust. basically disposable. but are you gonna save all your data to SSD drives? how long does the data last? Still backing up to 12x 4TB spinning Hitachi disks (in a Linux server connected via 10GigE) rotated in three sets so I have three copies of everything. I will definitely go to SSD when the price is right. Right now I just use SSDs in my desktop and notebooks as well as my server boot drives. sandy beach
STIM (transcraniel stimulation) just went from $24 to $30. It'll be interesting to see what happens when it reports.
sandy beach
STX just crossing below the 200-day (-8%) - let's see if it makes it to support under $49 - may buy a full position under $49.
sandy beach
Everything with the word "cloud" in the description getting bought the last few days just like I said: CYBR, DBX, ZUO, ZS, FSCT, CBLK, BOX, VMW, FEYE, DOCU, PVTL. What happened to FNJN and CPSI? We need a cloud ETF. This garbage explodes on the upside and is the first to be sold on the downside.
