From the sound of it I might have gotten lucky as everyone and their mother though that INTC will exceed expections. Well if I was wrong, I had my stops in place. Grand Poopercycle Posted December 4, 2003 Report Share Posted December 4, 2003 $600 million is about 10 cent a share; 'goodwill impairment' means they writin' down an acquisition(in the wireless commun- ication area apparantly)that is underperformin'-either paid too much, gettin' too little(revenue/income)back or combination of both. Either way, yes they made mistake-are general ex- pectations for 'wireless communication' too inflated? That's the bigger question('probably' is 'most likely' the answer ).
