No Einstein:? My current auto is a '95

:P :P :P mine too, no lie, 1995 Escort, bought it new, 180,000 miles and as much as I rip on FORD's I have to admit it has been a good car.

Now I am jinxed, the wheels will fall by next week. <_< :D

I got a '91 Fraud Aerostar Eddie Bauer but only 150,000km on the clock.

Pretty reliable so far except for the ex-auto alarm which wasn't from Ford.

Double airco wasn't working when I bought it but who needs it in our temperate climes!

Costs me more in road tax(in NL) per month than I use in fuel every month!!

Pioneer 6-CD exchanger/radio and remote came with the vehicle.Wife loves it,so I'm gonna have to keep it until one of the three of us dies :D

We are the proud owners of a very fuel efficient 1988 Porche 924S and a VERY fuel inefficient 1986 Porche 928S. I have owned many North American cars from Lebarons to Corvettes and I must say the Porche beats all by a very very wide margin. The 928 new ran 100,000+ Canadian but I only paid 8500 4 years ago. Warning...Anyone considering ownership of an older Porche had better be handy and have some good contacts for used parts as buying from the dealer is a religious experience!

Greenspan openmouth actions...Greenspan admits Things REALLY ARE Different This Time... says not to rely on historical comparisons to determine what interest rates are likely to do this time around.

What a surprise...

And why would things be different this time?

Captain's Log's starship is a 96 Toyota 4 runner. Paid off last year. (Great having no $550 per month payments any more). I intend to keep it for number of years. Last brand new car that I'll buy.

Captain's logette has a leased BMW. Nice but I think it a waste of money. Trying to pursuade here to get a runabout next time but I don't think I'll get much success. (She's even named it.. "Hans") Lordy.

A Guy goes his Doctor and says Doc I think my wife is losing her hearing. The Doc says try this test stand 15 feet behind her and ask her a question, if she doesn't answer move 5 feet closer and ask again, if she still doesn't answer move another 5 feet closer etc. So the Guy goes home walks into the kitchen stands 15 feet away and says -Honey whats for dinner-no answer-so he moves 5 feet closer-Honey whats for dinner-still no answer. so another 5 feet closer-Honey whats for dinner-still no answer-so he moves right up behind her-Honey whats for dinner she turns to him and says for the 4th and last time-I said Chicken. ;)

Propane, gas thefts raise FBI concerns

By JOHN W. GONZALEZ

Copyright 2004 Houston ChronicleSan Antonio Bureau

SAN ANTONIO -- Hoping to rule out terrorism as a motive, the FBI and police Tuesday sought the public's help in finding two fully loaded propane trucks and 15 cylindrical gas tanks recently stolen in separate incidents.

The Ferrell gas propane trucks, missing several days, could be on their way to Mexico, where previously hijacked loads were taken. Disappearance of the gas tanks early Tuesday may have been sheer coincidence, but authorities said the theft escalated concerns about the missing trucks.

The trucks, parked inside a locked yard of a gas supply company in east San Antonio, disappeared between May 26 and Monday.

Thieves apparently tampered with other trucks on the lot whose propane tanks were empty. Together, the stolen trucks carried 5,600 gallons of propane, police said.

Plunger, we refer to these types of trucks as pups. They're small, not the larger type of bullets.

For some perspective,... rail cars generally hold about 22,000 gallons.
