All Ords came off the lows to finish -0.4%.  A couple of sectors drifted into the green, notably Consumer Staples +0.3% and REITS +0.2%.  Miners was down the most, -1.3%.

Over in Asia, China -0.5%, Hong Kong flat, Japan +0.7%, India currently -0.4%.

It's going to take a giant sudden hole in the liquidity picture to turn this baby.  

I think you were onto something a couple of weeks ago with China. But China has to substantiate Xi. It's always something.

 

Here is the picture in my mind. Chained in the basement of the Treasury are rows of slaves, kind of like those old Roman galley slaves, hitting the Buy buttons. When they falter Mnuchin sends his blond bimbo wife down there clad in leather and a whip.
