There is a nice essay over on the prudent bear site tonight: link

mannfm11 always puts up a well reasoned post.

His posts are well-reasoned because he wears a SUIT when typing, as opposed to dressing "business casual."

Imagine how much better the posts at Capitalstool could become if we all sat around our computers at 11 pm in SUITS.

You first, Mousey.

I am wearing a suit Prezzy. My birthday suit and I think my posts reflect that.

Yeah, that's pretty obvious. You're not wearing any pants, and your hands are in your pockets.

. . . and my head's up my ass.

Anybody have any experience with Zenit? I find their calls interesting, in as much as they basically agree with my projections... but I have no clue how they arrive at their figures. They don't really "show their math" so to speak. Far as I can tell, their projections are made using a Magic 8 Ball or yarrow sticks.

The furthest they go is to say they use EW, Gann, etc. Anyone have any experience following Zenit, or a feel for their accuracy?

Of course, I would probably already know if I was wearing my SUIT.

From Piledriver 2/11/03:

Since Jan 15 RYVNX=RYTPX in terms of performance.

Risk-adjusted, RYTPX is ahead of RYVNX

Piles:

How do you trade the 2:1 rydex funds in this sideways market? I tried, but

unless a clear trend is followed by the market, the options time decay eats up

the gains...the 2:1 funds are VERY path dependent....needless to say I lost quite abit following the primary downtrend, but now am a 1:1 funds investor in my 401K.

Believe it or not, I'm still wearing my suit.

I feel more comfortable in a suit then pajamas. I know siiick!

It's obvious that you're still wearing your suit: your posts have been very sharp tonight. Me, I'm wearing jeans, so I'm a little dull. And THEN there's Mousey...

When Al talks, whether stating the "Roof is on fire" or "I'm buying the beers after the hearing" his monotone delivery reduces his statements to drivel.

While answering questions like, "Why are we here and what is the meaning of life?" I get the distinct impression his subconscious internal dialogue is stuck in a loop controlling his attitude, repeating in his head "When you let me print money without backing, what in the fornicate did you expect to happen?"

Back at the ranch the local mayor says, "be prepared." Although the mayor has not stockpiled goods in this own home in event of acts of terror, he smugly declares he'll head for the city's crisis center, where he'll hide..errr.. rule....err..survive at taxpayer cost.

When States declare that they are cutting all excess: fundings, intrusions and programs, returning to basic government then we will have all we wanted in the first place.

I am not sure if this has been posted, but if anyone has a few moments I think it is well worth it.

Article talks about the loss of the dollar in oil commerce as being the primary driver of the war we are about to enter. The author backs up his argument and I think it is a good one. Well worth the time...

Rush from 2112/my post #

For you G.F.

From the album "2112"

I. Overture

Words and Music by Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart

"And the meek shall inherit the earth."

II. The Temples of Syrinx

Words by Neil Peart, Music by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson

... "The massive grey walls of the Temples rise from the

heart of every Federation city. I have always been awed

by them, to think that every single facet of every life is

regulated and directed from within! Our books, our music,

our work and play are all looked after by the benevolent

wisdom of the priests..."

We've taken care of everything

The words you hear the songs you sing

The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes

It's one for all and all for one

We work together common sons

Never need to wonder how or why

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx

Our great computers fill the hallowed halls

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx

All the gifts of life are held within our walls

Look around this world we made

Equality our stock in trade

Come and join the Brotherhood of Man

Oh what a nice contented world

Let the banners be unfurled

Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx

Our great computers fill the hallowed halls.

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx

All the gifts of life are held within our walls.

so far the RYTPX seems to be the way to go vs. RYVNX, if you're doing a 2x fund. SPX is dropping while NDX has been going sideways of late. I wouldn't be surprised to see SPX out do the NDX on this decline.

I'm in RYTPX and BEARX. I find RYVNX not worth the aggravation because you have to play it sniper-style to get anywhere. You don't have to as much with RYTPX especially now that SPX is trending and NDX is not.
