1000 GMT- JAPAN INTERVENTION IN MARCH, Tokyo

The Finance Ministry will release the amount Japan spent

on yen-selling intervention in the foreign exchange market

in March. It spent 3.3420 trillion yen in February in a

bid to beat down its buoyant currency. That compares with

a record seven trillion yen in January.
