Jorma
I like that Arlen thinks he is entitled to be a senator for life and by today's standards I think he has a point. When the Military Commissions Act of 06 was up for debate he went onto the senate floor and said "seeks to do is set back basic rights by some 900 years" (referring to the Magna Carta) and is "patently unconstitutional on its face." Then he voted for it.

4shzl
If I read this article correctly, the only thing standing between 90% of the U.S. tech industry and oblivion is an abstract concept called "intellectual property." We've got the patents and the copyrights, but they've got the know-how and the biggest market. So how much longer will they keep on dutifully tithing to 'Merica's rentier economy? The phone’s sleek lines and touch-screen keyboard are unmistakably familiar. So is the logo on the back. But a sales clerk at a sprawling electronic goods market in this Chinese coastal city admits what is clear upon closer inspection: this is not the Apple iPhone; this is the Hi-Phone. Cassiopeia
You have to go a long way back (back of the envelope says April 7th) to find two consecutive days of Advancers Decliners Volume closing Negative. Probably apropos of nothing.
DrStool
The fact that the 3 day cycle up phase failed to get going is a good sign for bears. But they have to take out the channel line at 851 to be sure.
