Guest
A shortlived trip north at open and then a bellyflop. All Ords -0.1% and last night's charts showed many bluechips at a resistance point. Santos down a whopping 6.8% after announcing a 36% drop in profit for the same period a year ago due to the Moomba plant fire early 2004.. Golds in the red and so are the oils.. Guest
The bullz managed to turn things around but overall the action was weak with the ticker barely moving. Lots of red onscreen and it seems only News Corp +1% and a few of the banks up around 0.5% keeping bovine heads above water.. Golds closed in the red but off the lows. In the oils, Santos closed -7.8% and Woodside -0.9%. Over in Asia it looks like Taiwan closed for the day and most the others did a turnaround closing off the lows. Each way bet on Europe:
