Guest
Buyers tried to continue yesterday's action on open but it didn't work out. The sellers more active today, needless to say that has only reduced All Ords to flat status. Anything is a relief from that endless green. Volume light, no surprise. Golds taking the day off: Lihir flat, Newcrest and Newmont -1%. Oils +0.4%. Looks like Nikkers closed today. Singers just open, +0.1%.
Guest
All Ords managed to scrape up +4.7 (+0.1%) and that was mostly on the late trades. Early close, last day of the year, move on - nothing to see here folks.... I spose Fri will be just as dreary, roll on next week... Golds flat to marginally down, oils up a teensy bit. Asia also catatonic, Singers, Honkers, Taiwan all +0.3% and dribbling along sideways. Radio news item saying Aust Reserve Bank concerned at level of consumer credit outstanding and real estate borrowing which may lead to another interest rate increase in Feb 04. RD Shell is the only one doing anything here, still going up!Damn, sold a few calls I had on that yesterday as they had doubled in price--shoulda waited! But the indicators were already in nosebleedland--and as they were Jan04 calls take the money before time deprives me of it! Talking of time--want to wish Aussie,Alceringa and all other Stoolies a healthy and wealthy 2004 and as the Scots say "Lang may your Lum reek".
