Yet Another Learning Opportunity Regarding The Inner Game

This rally is bulls..t, pisses me off

What rally?

So how many more of you got riled at or intimidated by what the u-no-what did the first half of yesterday? Since the whole thing ultimately turned out to be much ado about less than nothing by the close the valuable lesson to be learned here is to notice how often you are angry or worried over something that turns out to be not real, by an anticipated unfavorable outcome that doesn't come to pass.

It's been estimated by psychologists that we spend 90% of our time worrying about anticipated future events or outcomes that just don't materialize. With maybe 80% of the remaining 10% having outcomes not as bad as originally anticipated.

Which isn't to say that all that fretting and anger doesn't accomplish anything. It does - it accomplishes Chi depletion, the expenditure and dissipation of your precious life force and energy (or essence, as Col. Jack D. Ripper would phrase it) which not only can have very adverse consequences for your physical and emotional health but can and will also negatively skew your trading perspective judgment and perspective.

In other words, a lose-lose situation.

So if you find what I've just said relates to you, then take it as a very valuable learning opportunity to ask your higher self whether you're operating in the right arena. Life is not about making as many $$$ as possible in the u-no-what, especially if it's an aggravating experience a good part of the time leading to loss of essence. There's more than one way to play this game and it's important to find that way which best matches and is aligned with your personality, be it day trading, swing trading, position trading or long term investing. And you will be able to know that which is best for you through the simple process of learning which aggravates and upsets you the least.

Which is also the best way, IMO, of avoiding falling victim to that ever-present danger of compulsive gambling.

Good Morning Everystoolie! May the Stool be with you!

Your Stoolwethers are posted and Suctor Watch will follow around 8:30 NY time. Pretty pictures.

This is one of the most useful feature of your Anals subscriptions, yet very few of you visit it daily. Some of these charts were obvious screaming shorts several weeks ago. Check out where the 10-13 week cycle ozzies rolled over and where the stocks are now.

Stool'em!

A word of thanks to Gladiator for his thought provoking openers - oftentimes in the wee hours of the morning. Amazing!

While in a thankful mood, I can't forget Mousey for his yeoman work on XLNX. Went back in for a second helping yesterday.

And Piles - thanks to whom, I got on the last bogie of the AEIS and ANDW train in the last couple of days.

Thanks gang.

Oh yea, Doc and SG as well ... You know why...
