America's wealth and ensuring that the slight majority of dumbed-down maSSes will continue to vote for more of the same, since they're getting handouts ripped outta their neighbors' aSSes for doing essentially nothing the effect, as planned, is to steadily erode the living standards of the private sector middle class, until parity is reached with third-world poverty levels dollars will become worth less and less in real terms regardless of the level of dollar index vs. other faux currencies real living standards will spiral down the last to be chopped will be gov't workers, they're needed until the end of the game at the end only party members friends and families will be allowed to retain the high-paying do-nothing jobs with pensions and benefits what we have today in the U.S. is a sick alliance between the top 1% and those on the dole in all its various forms people who are productive are punished people who consume are rewarded with goods and services stolen from those who produce this is communism all those who enjoy being on the doles, thinking they "deserve it", will suffer in the end game, but they're too dumbed down to comprehend much of anything, thanks to the bankrupt and worthless public school system which for example in CA costs $50 Billion per year to produce morans (sic), causing a $20 Billion per year deficit instead of a $30 Billion surplus if students just studied for free on the Internet from the best of the best world class teachers instead of inferior local gov't teachers only in it for the bennies and two month summer vacations bottom line is that in a free-market capitalistic private ownership system without confiscation of production and redistribution, real wealth increases, the pie always grows, living standards rise, opportunities increase for all that was America until the mid-1960's in a socialist government controlled system where high wage earners are punished with high taxes and low wage earners are rewarded with tax rebates, free housing, free food, free health care, free college tuition, etc. the pie always shrinks and living standards fall this is America today, we've gotten here gradually in the last 40 years but we're now in the end game only the top 1% will prosper in the end, and even money will not ensure that, only political connections, just like in Russia, where billionaires rot in jail and party members party ahead we face a black-market economy, widespread poverty, crime and despair a tiny minority of bitter former middle classers will take out some top 1% individuals, but the greater risk those individuals face will be from their partners in crime, who will seek to consolidate their control over more and more and more, necessitating the takeout of their rivals who cares what fraudex prices are printed at, it's all fake, all common stocks are worthless and can be zero-printed on a gov't whim or bailed out with hundreds of billions of freshly printed out of thin air "money" on a whim......either way it's all meaningless there would be hope for a kindler gentler society if any moral standards remained, but there are none, those were simultaneously destroyed along with the free market so we face a violent, dirty, angry, poorer future in this country, with the maSSes pitted off against each other in a struggle to angle and grab their neighbors' share of a shrinking pie, screaming and wailing all the while about how they "deserve" this and that, which they have not earned, but can take, if they figure out how to "qualify" for the right gov't programs as more producers steadily drop out and go underground, the pie shrinkage will accelerate, poverty and crime will rise millions will walk away from their mortgage debt millions will walk away from their credit card debt they cannot be collected on because they've lost their jobs, there is nothing to collect but all the losses will be absorbed by those who still have jobs and pay taxes, via gov't bailouts of lenders so the delinquent defaulting walkaways actually won big -- they borrowed, partied, and walked away, leaving their neighbors with the bills CA gov't will default on its debt because it cannot print dollars Fed gov't wil not default because it can print dollars best career path for honest young folk is military, where useful survival skills can be learned for the new jungle culture, or, short-term, nursing, where a decent income can be still be earned, for awhile....long-term only hope though is to either (1) become dishonest and simply marry a party member -- just look away from the evil and enjoy the spoils, or (2) remain honest and work secretly in the underground economy best career path for dishonest young folk is to become party members themselves anyone who disagrees with the above is either on some doles or hoping to get on some doles but of course they deserve it screw their neighbors Shorty - another great one! I used to LMAO at your "tongue is cheek" writing style NOW, I'm beginning to fear you're a freeking prophet Keep up the great work

type war to prevent a civil war. Only the elite will be well fed and farmers will be essentially slaves. Trust will only exist in small groups who will be suspect/ controlled/ harassed by the elite. An underground black market will have difficulty in existing except in remote areas due to electronic devices and surveillance. Most of the budget will be spent on homeland security and military. Nothing new. V

Please feel free to argue with me. Good post, Roxy. At least there are some improvements, although certainly not as many as I'd had the audacity to hope for. May all of you have Happy Holidaze of whatever kind you celebrate! Good cheer to all Stoolies, their families, and their friends.

shorty
Shorty - another great one! I used to LMAO at your "tongue is cheek" writing style NOW, I'm beginning to fear you're a freeking prophet Keep up the great work I'm just another fool, like all men. I post here because I respect and admire Doc, and I appreciate the helpful feedback from the intelligent people here, and their sense of humor. My half-baked comments are intended to elicit similar comments from others such that together we can incrementally and recursively careen toward a clearer picture of what's likely to happen next in the markets. I was correct predicting years ago that GM, FNM, FRE, and C would go to zero (or nearly so). I had no idea about LEH or AIG. I was correct predicting the Dow would be chopped in half from 14k to 7k at which point I would start nibblin' which I did, switching my 401k from 100% money market into equity index one day off the exact bottom and then back to 100% money market after a 20% bernce. There it sits earning 0.04% which I think is best place to be now, because I expect this mid-Depression rally will be ended after a few more major legislative victories are achieved by our maSSters to devastate the private sector working middle claSS, until which time fraudex show-duping will be used to placate us with false hope, and after which another horrific fraudex sell-off will be engineered to crush the 201k's of all who drink the false hope Kool-Aid. Merry Christmas to everyone, and best wishes for profitable trading in 2010. May reason and common sense prevail over greed and vice-chasing, all of which is guaranteed to always end in dead-end disappointment with no fulfillment or satisfaction, for the wages of sin is death, and there is only one way to find peace and satisfaction. May citizens think clearly and compromise politically so that the nation is more free and more productive and more wealthy and more kind and more educated, instead of thinking only of themselves and grabbing short-term what amounts to theft from their neighbors which will only destroy real wealth and cause more pain and suffering for everyone. May I be less bitter and more productive and healthier. I'm watching for some individual 2009 dogs to be chosen and walked up straight-ruler charts in 2010, and for some of the 2009 winners to be dumped and left as dead money, probably after a final early Jan blowoff pop short shakeout, if not immediately on Jan 4. I'll buy some Feb puts before the end of the year, and more during the first two weeks. Premiums are low now so the buy side is clearly favored in most options markets. Already I'm ahead nicely on long calls on some 2009 dogs that have bottomed a little early, but not taking big positions until after the new year to make sure they'll be among the chosen. I think the gold price in dollars will make a new high in 2010, and the Fed will raise rates after the Nov mid-terms.

Takachi
Doc, about the time you founded the Stool, I was all excited because Bush had been elected and I expected government reporting to become honest etc etc etc. Anyone who trades soon learns that the system is agnostic to who is in power and only the names and sometimes the tactics change. I am not quite so jaded as you regarding American history, but ancient heros have been seen in a new light based on the education received in the Stool. What benefits is to negotiate the pitfalls and snares laid by those in power (whether government or Wall Street or Main Street) and seek to bless and benefit those who are receptive....... as you have done in the Stool. I don't agree with everything, but thanks, I am no longer a Tool of the machine.
