Instead of outfitting the stores across the country all with the new name they thought they could give present a facade of being competitors. Each sells basically the same lines and they set up store fronts with the two names sometimes even next door to each other, as in the case of our town last year. Ditto in Montreal. They want $20 to $40 for an HDMI cable,I buy them on Ebay for $1.00 and they work just fine. Bought 3 of them a few months back.$3.00 total,no tax and free shipping. I hear you loud and clear on the cable costs, including computer cables and accessories WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I am talking 2x to 10x the price difference of E-Bay for same brands and quality. I just built/re-built 3 computers with multiple upgrades/expansion for all, and every part/upgrade was bought on E-Bay even though there is a BEST BUY 1 mile from my house.
