Guest
Ahhh, my first day of eternal nephew-free days... no more rap music, BLISS. As he left last night he said 'by the way the floor needs a really good vacuum'! I don't doubt it as it has been completely submerged under takeaway containers, coins, study notes, used jocks, cables, cans, bottles, mobile phones, dvds, cds and the rest for over 2 mths. But what am I, the frigging cleaner? Must think he's still living at home. Anyway he's off into the real world now, should be interesting, heheh. The market quiet today with the index slightly in the red, -0.1%. Very tentative action and a Friday as well so things may not change too much although a fall into close would be most welcome. The banks off half a percent, Newscorp up on meagre green, BHP attempting to break resistance, no luck so far, +0.7%. Golds down half to 1% although Newmont doing it's contrarian thing, +0.1%. Oils pulling back after yesterday's gains. Asia having an up day: Nikkers +0.8% and Singers +0.6%.

Guest
Bit of a yo-yo day but we did get the hoped-for decline into close. All Ords closed -6.5 (-0.2%) which puts us below the March 02 closing high so things are getting interesting. Banks closed -0.5%, not much price movement in general on stocks. Golds closed mixed and oils down. Oz one of the few reds in Asia today: Nikkers +1.1%, Singers +0.3%, Honkers +0.4%.
The brown one
Morning Aussie. So you think that your nephew will learn what it's like in the real world!! Prolly not. He'll turn his new digs into a pig-bin within a couple of days and find living in,what others may describe as a pig-sty perfectly normal Market here is going totally bananas. The big money has decided we are going up and up we go.After 90mins we've hit the 50% fibo retrace of the down move.Wonder if this is it or will they go for the 62% at 352. Ad Noten is gobsmacked so far today but he did post a chart yesterday of the bearish pattern that becomes a raging bull--exactly the same as in January. These markets are making a nonsense of short-term TA.All the upmoves seem to occur with so much negative divergence in the indicators that breakdown is certain but never imminent and therefore impossible to trade.Unless you're very fast or in the know, you make nothing. The brown one
Bullz-R-us My considered opinion of today's action would have to be that "da boyz"already know the job figures and all the rest of the pulp fiction disseminated by their masters,so they are just creating a higher base when it does fall.If figures were really bad then there's virtually no chance(now) that the major markets will break recent lows and that's all it's about until April 15 when all the suckers money has been sucked in for another year. The difference is that he's sharing with others and it's more of a level playing field. Somehow I don't think they will take kindly to being told to vacuum his room
